ALPINESTARS TECH-AIR 3 V2 AIRBAG SYSTEM

The Alpinestars Tech-Air® 3 V2 System Airbag is a lightweight, compact, and autonomous electronic airbag vest, developed for touring, commuting, and street riding, with the possibility of use in light off-road riding as well. It can be worn over or under a compatible motorcycle jacket and specifically protects the chest and back, inflating in approximately 50 milliseconds when the system detects an accident.

• Cartridge: Replaceable argon canister; the V2 version allows the user to replace it up to six times before requiring maintenance at an authorized center.

• Maintenance: The textile part is machine washable at 30 °C after removing the electronic components, following the manufacturer's instructions.

Recommended Use

It is suitable for those who want versatile airbag protection that is simple to transfer from one motorcycle to another and can be used with different types of jackets. It is particularly suitable for those who commute, ride on weekends, or engage in medium-to-long distance touring, as it does not require any mechanical connection to the vehicle.

Before leaving, you must wear the vest correctly, check the LED display and battery life, and then ensure that the outer jacket does not obstruct inflation. The system recognizes various crash and collision dynamics, but the correct positioning of the garment remains essential for the airbag to expand and protect the designated areas.

Safety and convenience

The Tech-Air® 3 V2 does not replace a helmet, gloves, protective jacket, trousers, or motorcycle boots: it is an additional safety system designed to reduce the energy transferred to the chest and back during an accident. After deployment, check that the vest has not been damaged, replace the cartridge according to the official procedure, and have the system inspected once the maximum number of permitted recharges has been reached.
