ALPINESTARS TECH-AIR 5 PLASMA AIRBAG

The Alpinestars Tech-Air® 5 Plasma Airbag is an ultralight, autonomous electronic airbag vest designed to be worn under a compatible motorcycle jacket. It protects the chest, ribs, back, and shoulders, integrates a Nucleon PLASMA back protector, and features three selectable riding modes: Street, Off-Road, and Race.

• Gas cartridge: argon canister, user-replaceable after deployment.

• Reusability: the cartridge can be replaced by the user up to six times before requiring a system check/maintenance according to the manufacturer's instructions.

• Battery: rechargeable via USB-C, with a claimed battery life of approximately 30 hours of use.

• App: Bluetooth connectivity with the Tech-Air® app to monitor system status, battery, and settings.
  

Recommended use

It is suitable for motorcyclists who ride on the road, track, and light off-road and want a single, versatile airbag for different riding environments. It must be worn under a sufficiently spacious and compatible (Tech-Air Ready) jacket, allowing enough space for the airbag to expand in the event of deployment; it is not designed to be worn over motorcycle gear.

Safety and convenience

The Tech-Air 5 Plasma is an additional system: it does not replace a helmet, gloves, boots, and motorcycle clothing equipped with armor. The airbag absorbs and distributes part of the impact energy across the covered areas, while the Nucleon PLASMA back protector provides passive protection even when the system is not inflated.

Before each use, verify that the battery is charged, the system starts correctly, and the outer jacket allows for free expansion. After a deployment, replace the cartridge following the official instructions and have the system checked when the specified limit of re-deployments is reached or if the garment has sustained damage.
