How to take measurements
A
ChestMeasure the circumference just below the armpits, over the chest, with the tape measure held horizontally.
B
BustMeasure the circumference at the fullest part of the bust, with the tape measure held horizontally and without tightening.
C
WaistMeasure the circumference at the narrowest point of the torso, just above the navel.
D
SleeveWith your arm slightly bent, measure from the point of the shoulder, along the outside of the arm and over the elbow, to the wrist bone.
E
HeightStanding barefoot and with your back against the wall, measure from the soles of your feet to the top of your head.
Tips
- Alpinestars women's jackets (Stella line) have a contoured fit: to choose the size, consider bust and waist above all.
- Leather jackets are often sold in EU sizes (36, 38, 40…): use the EU Size column.
- If you wear thermal layers, a separate back protector, or an airbag under the jacket, consider the larger size.
- This also applies to waterproof jackets worn over another jacket: choose one size larger.

How to take measurements
A
WaistMeasure the circumference at the narrowest point of the torso, just above the navel.
B
HipsMeasure the circumference at the widest point of the glutes, keeping your feet together.
C
ThighMeasure the circumference at the widest point of the thigh, just below the groin.
D
InseamBarefoot, measure from the groin along the inside of the leg to the floor.
Tips
- Women's trousers are tailored at the hips and thighs: if your measurements fall into different sizes, prioritize the hips.
- Leather trousers are sold in EU sizes: use the EU Size column.
- If you want to join a jacket and trousers with the connection zipper, choose both Alpinestars garments in their respective sizes.
- In the riding position, trousers shorten: if you are at the limit of the inseam, choose the longer length.

How to measure
A
WaistMeasure the circumference at the point where you normally wear jeans, without tightening the tape measure.
B
HipsMeasure the circumference at the widest point of the glutes, keeping your feet together.
Tips
- Jeans sizes are in inches (US): size 28 corresponds to EU 42.
- Odd sizes (27, 29, 31) are intermediate: choose them if your waist falls halfway between two even sizes.
- Technical jeans with protectors fit slightly tighter than normal jeans: if you are between two sizes, take the larger one.

Tips
- Suits are sold in EU sizing. If your measurements fall into different sizes, prioritize bust, hips, and inseam.
- A new leather suit should feel snug: leather stretches slightly with use.
- Check the fit in the riding position: arms and legs should not pull when you are leaning forward.

How to measure

Hand circumferenceWrap the tape measure around the palm, just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb. Measure both hands and use the larger measurement.
Tips
- Leather racing gloves: must fit snugly, as the leather adapts to the hand. If between sizes, choose the smaller one.
- Touring, winter, or heated gloves: if between sizes, choose the larger one to avoid reducing insulation.
- Official Alpinestars chart for women's gloves (Stella line). For unisex models, use the men's size guide.

How to take measurements
A
Foot lengthPlace your heel against a wall on a sheet of paper, mark the tip of your longest toe, and measure the distance in cm. Measure both feet at the end of the day, wearing the socks you will use for riding.
Tips
- Some models are sold in US sizes: please note that women's US sizes and men's US sizes do not match. Use the table for the specific model you are purchasing.
- The Foot length column indicates the ideal foot measurement for each size: choose the size with the value equal to or immediately greater than your measurement.
- Racing boots must fit snugly across the instep for precise control: between two sizes, choose the smaller one only if there are no pressure points.
