ALPINESTARS SP-X 7 LEATHER SUMMER GLOVES
Description
The Alpinestars SP-X 7 leather summer gloves are sporty road gloves designed for hot weather: they combine perforated full-grain leather, rigid knuckle protection, and good sensitivity on the controls.
Materials and ventilation
-
The construction is in soft full-grain leather with large perforations on the back and palm, to promote airflow during summer rides.
-
The ventilated bellows and stretch inserts aid hand mobility and improve comfort in warm weather.
-
The cut is short and oriented towards sport/roadster use, making it more compact than a traditional touring glove.
Protection
-
They feature dual-density TPU metacarpal protectors for the knuckle area.
-
On the palm, you will find leather reinforcements and a TPR slider, designed to increase abrasion resistance and support in the event of a slide.
-
There is also foam padding on the top of the fingers and palm to absorb some of the impact.
Comfort and practical use
-
The shape is pre-curved, with a 3D ergonomic joint and a stretch panel on the thumb to reduce fatigue during longer rides.
-
The closure is velcro at the wrist, which is simple and quick.
-
They are touchscreen compatible, so you can use your phone or GPS without taking them off.
Certification and season
-
The indicated certification is Level 1 KP, meaning a motorcycle-approved glove with knuckle and palm protection.
-
They are classified as summer gloves and are not waterproof, so they are best suited for spring-summer or mild/dry climates.
-
If you are looking for a more racing-oriented, protective, and ventilated glove, these are a very solid choice; if, however, you want waterproofing or winter comfort, these are not the right model.
In short
The SP-X 7 is a very complete summer glove: perforated leather, serious protection, good feel on the bike, and comfort for daily use.
