LS2 STORM II SOLID FULL-FACE HELMET
Description
The LS2 STORM II FULL-FACE HELMET (model FF800) is a modern touring full-face helmet, designed for urban and highway use, offering a good compromise between lightness, ventilation, and comfort, suitable for those looking for an "all-rounder" helmet in an affordable price range.
Materials and safety
-
KPA shell (Kinetic Polymer Alloy): a polymer alloy that blends polycarbonate, thermoplastic, and additional fibers for good resistance at a reduced weight.
-
Multi-density EPS for efficient impact absorption.
-
ECE 22.06 homologation and 3 shell sizes (XS‑S, M‑L, XL‑2XL), to better adapt the shape and aerodynamics to various sizes.
-
Declared weight is around 1,530–1,550 g (± 50 g), so it is substantial but not excessively heavy.
Ventilation and comfort
-
Large upper air intake with integrated wind deflector, which helps air circulation even in hot conditions.
-
Rear extractor to improve hot air exhaust.
-
Removable and washable interior, with hypoallergenic, breathable, and laser-cut fabrics to fit the face well.
-
Lining divided into various zones to reduce pressure points and improve comfort during long rides.
Visor and lighting
-
"Class A" 3D polycarbonate panoramic visor with anti-scratch and UV protection treatment and a shape designed to reduce optical distortion.
-
Dual visor system: removable outer visor + integrated inner sun visor, to manage light without external filters.
-
Pinlock 70 Max Vision ready with lens included in the box, to minimize fogging.
-
"Quick Release" visor removal system, tool-free, for very simple maintenance and replacement.
Closure, aerodynamics, and real-world use
-
Micrometric closure on the chin strap, robust and practical, designed for daily use.
-
Aerodynamic profile designed to be relatively quiet on the highway and maintain good stability even at sustained speeds.
-
Many reviews highlight good comfort, effective ventilation, and well-balanced weight management, with some reports of play in the visor system if the helmet is not new.
Who is it for
The Storm II is ideal for:
-
those looking for an urban-highway touring full-face helmet with a good price-quality ratio;
-
those who ride scooters, naked bikes, and touring motorcycles and want ventilation, a Pinlock-ready visor, and an integrated sun visor.
