How to take measurements
A
ChestMeasure the circumference at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits, with the tape measure horizontal and arms relaxed.
B
WaistMeasure the circumference at the narrowest part of the torso, just above the navel, without pulling the tape measure tight.
C
SleeveWith your arm slightly bent, measure from the point of the shoulder, along the outside of the arm and over the elbow, to the wrist bone.
D
HeightStanding barefoot with your back against the wall, measure from the soles of your feet to the top of your head.
Tips
- Sizes M, XL, and 3XL correspond to two EU sizes (e.g., M = 48 or 50): this is why their ranges are wider.
- Leather jackets are often sold in EU sizes (44, 46, 48…): use the EU Size column. If your measurement falls into size M, choose 48 for the lower end of the range (chest 94 - 98) and 50 for the high end (98 - 102); the same applies to XL and 3XL.
- If you wear thermal layers, a separate back protector, or an airbag under your jacket, consider the next size up.
- The same applies to waterproof jackets worn over your main jacket: choose one size larger.

How to take measurements

WaistMeasure the circumference at the narrowest part of the torso, just above the navel.

HipsMeasure the circumference at the fullest part of the glutes, keeping feet together.
C
ThighMeasure the circumference at the fullest part of the thigh, just below the crotch.
D
InseamBarefoot, measure from the crotch along the inside of the leg to the floor.
Tips
- Sizes M, XL and 3XL correspond to two EU sizes (e.g., M = 48 or 50): this is why their ranges are wider.
- Leather pants are sold in EU sizes: for precise measurements of each individual EU size, please consult the Suits table.
- If you want to join a jacket and pants using the connection zipper, choose both Alpinestars garments in their respective sizes.
- The pants shorten in the riding position: if you are at the limit of the inseam, prefer the longer length.

How to measure
A
WaistMeasure the circumference at the point where you normally wear jeans, without tightening the tape measure.
Tips
- Jeans sizes are in inches (US): size 32 corresponds to EU 48.
- Odd sizes (31, 33) are intermediate: choose them if your waist falls halfway between two even sizes.
- Technical jeans with protectors fit slightly tighter than normal jeans: if you are between two sizes, take the larger one.

Tips
- Suits are sold in EU sizing. If your measurements fall into different sizes, prioritize chest, inseam, and height.
- A new leather suit should feel snug: the leather will stretch slightly with use.
- Check the fit in the riding position: arms and legs should not feel tight when you are leaned forward.

Hand circumferenceWrap the tape around the palm, just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb. Measure both hands and use the larger measurement.
Tips
- Leather racing gloves: they must fit snugly, because the leather adapts to the hand. If between sizes, choose the smaller one.
- Touring, winter, or heated gloves: if between sizes, choose the larger one to maintain insulation.
- Some models are also available in 4XL: if you need it, write to us to check availability.

How to measure
A
Head circumferencePass the tape about 1-2 cm above the eyebrows and ears, around the most prominent part of the back of the head. Repeat twice and use the larger measurement.
Tips
- A new helmet should feel snug on the cheeks and forehead, without painful pressure points: the padding will settle with use.
- If between two sizes, try the smaller one: a loose helmet will move at high speeds and provide less protection.
- Table valid for Alpinestars road helmets (S-R7, Supertech R10).

How to measure
A
Foot lengthPlace your heel against a wall on a sheet of paper, mark the tip of your longest toe and measure the distance in cm. Measure both feet, at the end of the day and wearing the socks you will use on the bike.
Tips
- Some models are sold in US sizes: in that case, use the US column of the model's table.
- The conversion changes depending on the product line: check the correct table, as the difference can be half a size.
- Racing boots must fit snugly on the instep for precise control: between two sizes, choose the smaller one only if there are no pressure points.
