REV'IT! AVERTUM TECH-AIR STREET AIRBAG

The REV’IT! Avertum Street Tech-Air® Airbag is an autonomous electronic airbag vest designed for street and urban riding. It can be worn over or under an approved motorcycle jacket and protects the chest, ribs, back, and shoulders by inflating in approximately 50 milliseconds when sensors detect an accident situation.

Features

• Technology: Electronic Tech-Air® system, without tether cables and with no sensors or control units to be installed on the motorcycle.

• Sensors: Six integrated sensors, including three accelerometers and three gyroscopes, with a waterproof electronic unit.

• Detection: Monitoring algorithm developed over millions of kilometers of riding and thousands of accidents, designed to recognize conditions such as loss of control, low-sides, high-sides, and impacts even when the motorcycle is at a standstill.

• Activation time: Airbag inflated in approximately 50 ms from accident detection.
  

• Airbag certification: Category II PPE compliant with EU Regulation 2016/425 and EN 1621-4:2013 standard.

• Absorption level: The inflated system is rated with performance comparable to Level 2 protection for the chest and back.

• Impact reduction: REV’IT! declares an impact force reduction of up to 95% in covered areas compared to passive CE protectors.

• Vest certification: Class C according to EN 17092-6:2020, for use both over (C O) and under (C U) an approved motorcycle jacket.

• Materials: Three-layer softshell construction with PWR|Shell ripstop stretch inserts on the sides and back, designed to enhance mobility and comfort.

• Ventilation: Structure with ventilated panels/zones on the chest, designed to limit heat buildup.

• Closure: Front zipper with magnetic flap; the integrated LED display indicates the system’s operating status.

• Back protector: Rear pocket prepared for an optional REV’IT! SEESOFT™ or SEESOFT AIR back protector; offers additional passive protection even when the airbag is not activated.

• Inflators: Gas cartridges/inflators that can be replaced by the user after activation.

• Battery: Stated battery life of up to 30 hours of riding after a full charge via micro-USB.

• Connectivity: Bluetooth and Tech-Air® app to check system status and management.
  

Recommended use

It is indicated for commuting, urban travel, street touring, and daily riding, for both rider and passenger. Unlike tethered systems, it does not require connecting to the motorcycle: you put it on, zip it up, and verify that the LED indicator confirms system activation before setting off.

Safety and practicality

The Avertum Street Tech-Air® complements the protection of a helmet, jacket, gloves, pants, and technical boots but does not replace them. After activation, check the garment for any damage and follow the REV’IT!/Tech-Air® instructions for replacing the inflator and resetting the system; the ability to change the cartridge independently reduces downtime after an airbag deployment.
